Bas Kosters

(1977, Zutphen, Netherlands)


The Dutch Bas Kosters graduated from the Fashion Institute Arnhem in 2003 with his collection ‘Two teacups and a frying pan. After winning the Robijn Fashion award in 2003 he founded the Bas Kosters Studio in 2005.

The multi-disciplinary Bas Kosters is a fashion designer that is known for his colorful designs and use of prints. Besides designing fashion, Bas also creates drawings, paintings, and music.

He favors prints and reflects on the use of prints in costume history. He creates a unique universe with distinctive visual language.

In 2019 Bas decides that he needs to get to know himself again and designed the artwork collection ‘Quest to Self Love’. This collection is composed of bright, colorful collages made of fabric and thread. He is also working on new drawing techniques during his stay in Japan.


Bas Kosters has successful collaborations with Bugaboo and CoolCat and designed a hotel room for the Lloyd Hotel in Amsterdam.
